Our Goats
Glenafton Anglo Nubian Stud is situated in Victoria's South West at Woorndoo. Stud Principal Sharyn Carmichael has been breeding Anglo Nubian's since 1982. Glenafton is the property name of the family farm in the Mallee near Turriff, this became an official Dairy Goat Stud name in 1984, and is current today.
We infuse our original blood lines with the lines of the original imports of Anglo Nubians to Australia over 50 years ago, we also have a number of pure Heritage lineage animals, as listed with the Rare Breeds Trust Of Australia.
A strong focus of our stud, is to breed high producing, long lactating does, that are able to both mother rear kids, or to be milked by hand- or a combination of both which is preferred.
Our stock is reflective of the breed standards, large exotic animals with solid bone.
We do things our own way here at Glenafton. We choose to mother rear our kids, only using the excess milk for our products. Our goats are treated with great care and we keep our old retired animals on-farm. You will find our soap bars are named' - dedicated to some of the many Glenafton Goats that are a little special to us..
Our Products
Our creamy soaps are all handmade with fresh nutritious milk from our very own Anglo-Nubian dairy goat herd which we combine with Saponified Premium Cobram Estate olive oil.
Our soaps are produced and formulated to suit the most sensitive skin types. Goat milk is highly compatible with human skin and Anglo-Nubian milk is rich in butterfat's, vitamins and minerals creating soft, moisture rich creaminess our skin can easily absorb. For colour we use Organic Australian Earth Clays, supporting local farms & businesses is very important here at Glenafton.
